Macmillan Support Art Show




The annual Macmillan Cancer Support Art Show is on now and continues till 17th November 2012.

The Show is once again being held at the Headquarters of M & Co. in Inchinnan

The Show contains over 700 paintings, sculptures, glass and ceramics ranging from £50 to £5000.

All the Artists are donating at least 50% of the sale price to Macmillan Cancer Support. There is also a raffle to win a painting by Pat Kramek.

The Show is open 10am-5pm Monday to Saturday, and 11am-5pm Sunday.

Doors Open Day

Doors Open Day takes place in Renfrewshire this year, over the weekend of 8th and 9th September.

Now is your chance to see inside those buildings whose doors are uasually shut to the general public.

This year you can take a walk around the prisoner cells of the Sheriff Courts, take in the marvel of the Russell Institute or walk around the John Neilston Institute, amongst many.

Paisley Vision 10k

The Paisley Vision 10k Race and 3k Fun Run takes place on Sunday, 26th August.

Already there are nearly 1500 entrants for the races. There's still time to enter but if you can't then you can still come down on Sunday to support the runners.

Racing starts at 10am sharp.

Paisley Online will be there to snap the runners as they cross the finish line, so keep an eye on the website - you may see someone you know!

Two Rivers Rock Festival 2012


The Two Rivers Rock Festival returned to Paisley on Saturday, 4th August 2012. Large crowds, despite some torrential downpours, watched the bands throughout the day culminating in the headline acts of Attica Rage before The Union wrapped up the day.





The Festival was organized in partnership with Real XS, Loud ‘n’ Proud Promotions, and Renfrewshire Council.

Renfrew Town Hall Re-Opening

The official re-opening of Renfrew Town Hall takes place on Saturday 28th January, after a multi-million pound refurbishment.



To celebrate the occassion there will be a series of events on Saturday afternoon leading up to the official opening at 4.10pm by Nicola Sturgeon, Derek Mackay and Provost Celia Lawson.

The day will start with a parade at 2.30pm from Robertson Park To the High Street where there will be a Radio Clyde Roadshow and entertainment from The Singing Kettle and Gamu as well as funfair rides and stalls.

The day will be rounded off at 4.30pm with a Fireworks Display.
